Faro's Ria Formosa: Your Private Lagoon Paradise Unveiled

What a wonderful way to spend our last day in Portugal seeing Ria Formosa from Faro- thanks to our wonderful guide & driver Joao We will certainly be back & let our Aussie friends know

We did this trip a few days ago. We had a five month old baby with us and five adults. The guide Adolpho was very good. He took us to the deserted island where we walked, swam and had a drink in the cafe. We were able to take as long as we wanted. He then took us to the other island where we had a walk around and a snack. Again he didn't rush us. Then we sailed back. It was a lovely day

We booked the private tour with 2 island stops. Our guide was Oscar who was excellent and very informative. We got 1 hour on the first island which was nice but not enough time to eat and explore then 2 hours on the second which was far too long. Very crowded not much to do so we came home an hour only. Save yourself the money and get a water taxi. So much cheaper. We wouldn't do this again.

Very nice view and good food. Oscar was a very good guide. We had good weather and the beaches was very clean and had beautiful golden fine sand

Joao (John) was a funny guide, kept us safe and taught us about the region. Great Experience. Was colder on boat that expected.

Large migration of cormorants, spoonbill, little,large egrets & herons , several crane & ibis 1.5hr trip , main channel and reserve . Awesome flock, all being stimulated to fly together ,at the same time

A lovely half-day boat trip around the nature reserve surrounding Faro. Filipe was our captain for the trip and was very friendly and knowledgeable as he shared lots of information about the area showing us much of the wildlife on show An excellent trip that took in two stops the first off a quiet beach where swimming was available the second at a little island with one or two lovely restaurants for fresh fish. The only thing that could’ve improved the trip would’ve been if it was longer!
